Overseas applicants
The procedures of getting student visa in Japan:
- Choose your plan, then contact us
- Collect all required documents
- Kanrin submits your documents to the immigration office
- Announce the result of COE (Certificate of Eligibility)
- Pay tuition fee
- Apply for VISA at Embassy of Japan in your country
- Get a flight ticket and come to Japan
Documents to be prepared by the applicant
- Application form*
- Personal records *
- Family list *
- Certificate which shows your current occupation (letter of employment or letter of school Application).
- Diploma or certificate of graduation from the last school attended
- Transcript from the last school attended
- Photos (3 x 4 cm) x 6
- Copy of the passport and stamped pages if you've ever been to Japan
- Birth certificate which shows the relationship with the guarantor
- Japanese study record
Documents to be prepared by the guarantor (your parents or close relative)
In case the guarantor doesn’t live in Japan
- Financial commitment statement*
- Letter of employment
- Income certificate
- Bank balance (base amount of JPY3,000,000 or US$30000)
- Bank book copies (*for the particular countries)
- Document certifies relationship with the applicant (birth certificate etc.)
In case the guarantor lives in Japan
Financial commitment statement*
- Letter of employment
- Document which certifies the annual income (Kazei shoumeisho)
- Bank balance (base amount of JPY3,000,000 or US$30000)
- Bank book copies for one year (*for the particular countries)
- The voting poll (Juminhyou) with all family member’s names included or certificate of Alien Registration
- Certificate of the seal impression
- Document certifies relationship with the applicant (birth certificate etc.)
